Allotment Categories for 2008

 

Category 1:
Best Allotment Plot Crops pest and weed free. Ground weed free. A succession of fruit, flowers, vegetables for all year round production. Paths well-maintained, edges tidy. Good compost production and cultivation of soil.
Category 2:
Best Allotment Site All or most plots being worked. Good working community spirit, facilities on site for everyone to use. Well maintained paths and pleasing to look at from outside the allotment with a good neighbourhood spirit.

Category 3:

Best Shed on the Plot Quirky, neat, welcoming to other plot holders or just practical.
Category 4:
Children's Section - The Mini-Plot Open to any child under the age of 14 who is associated to a plot holder. Layout to be of their own choosing, must not exceed 2x3 metres. Fruit, vegetables and flowers may all be used, a scarecrow can be included.
